The construction of the school in Los Pozos, Herrera province, remains paralyzed despite the structure being significantly advanced. The school's director, Gladys Gómez, expressed her concern over the failure to complete a project the district has waited for over a decade. She stated that around five companies have passed through the project without managing to finish it, and that there are multiple versions regarding the causes of the paralysis. What is evident, however, is that the school remains unfinished despite the work's progress. From the outside, the building can be seen to have installed doors, erected walls, and floors that are over 85% complete. Residents consulted indicated that no workers have been seen in the area for approximately six months, and they lament that while the work remains halted, middle and high school students continue to take classes in modular classrooms that were conceived as a temporary solution. This April, these classrooms will be 10 years old, despite being designed as temporary, a situation that has generated discontent among teachers, parents, and students. 'Imagine in 10 years the number of students who have graduated and could not be part of this new school,' lamented the school's director. The institution, which also includes a boarding school for students from remote areas, represents key infrastructure for access to education in the Los Pozos district. Therefore, the educational community reiterates its call to the competent authorities to provide a concrete response and definitively reactivate a project they consider urgent and necessary for the district's development.
